A few months ago I had the privilege of meeting and working on a test shoot with the prestigious South African / New York based photographer, Sacha Waldman. Sacha has shot 50 Cent (no pun intended), Eminem, Jay Z, Missy Elliot, David Bowie, Will Ferrell, Donald Trump and a large number of other international artists/celebrities. His work has been featured in top global magazines including Vanity Fair, The New York Times Magazine, GQ and Wired. His advertising and entertainment clients include Sony Music, Atlantic Records, Interscope, Adidas, Nike and Pony. Waldman’s non-traditional and iconic style, has lead him to receive awards and recognition from Communication Arts, The PDN Photo Annual and American Photography.
Sacha has been doing a lot of work in Cape Town for the past year and has done some amazing work shooting Jack Parow’s debut album cover, the tongue-in-cheek Old Khaki, ‘Home Grown’ ads and the intense Drive Dry, ‘He’d/They’d love to show you a good time. Never drink and drive’ ads.
